Tony has been handling personal injury cases in Georgia for over 30 years. He obtained both his Bachelor’s degree and Law degree in Connecticut, graduating from law school cum laude (with distinction) in 1992. Tony moved to Atlanta that year and was hired by the Law Offices of Clifford Steele, a well-known and respected personal injury firm, located in Sandy Springs. During his seven years at that firm, he gained invaluable litigation experience handling serious injury cases involving car accidents, premises liability and medical malpractice, as well as a range of other civil and criminal matters.
In 1999, Tony formed his own law firm focusing on injury claims resulting from the negligence of others. He built a team of highly talented staff that work together on each and every case to achieve superior results for his clients. This team at D’Aurio Elwood Law has remained together for many years to the present day, and with this experience, know the intricacies of Georgia’s insurance law and rules of the road and put that knowledge to work on every client’s case to maximize every settlement. While many clients desire to avoid protracted litigation, Tony’s philosophy is to prepare every client’s case from Day 1, as if it will be tried in court and when the results of that preparation are presented to the insurer, the case is very often settled quickly and out of court to his clients’ satisfaction. Clients often compliment his straight talk, giving them a full understanding of the process, and his pragmatic approach to maximizing their recovery.
Tony has argued his clients’ cases in front of the Georgia Court of Appeals and Georgia Supreme Court as well as the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
